PRIDE Finishes Year Strong

The 2010-2011 PHWM FC PRIDE Finishde the year the same way they started it, with an undefeated tournament showing. The PRIDE traveled to PA to compete in the MUSC Shoot for the Cure Tournament. The PRIDE went 4-0-1 at the event capturing its 4th Tournament Championship of the year and not surrendering a goal the entire weekend. Overall the PRIDE went 30-9-1 for the year winning 4 out of 5 Tournaments with only 5 of its losses coming to U10 squads. The PRIDE will now spend the summer preparing to compete again in the highly respected regional PAGS league this Fall as well as gearing up for the Nationaly Ranked Spirit Kick Off Classic.

PRIDE Stumbles, then recovers quickly

The PRIDE hit a speed bump in their hot start in the Spring BBSL. The PHWM FC United, the PRIDE's sister U11 squad, held the squad scorless through 60 mintues of quality play clinching a 2-0 victory. The PRIDE was not to be held down long. The squad regrouped on a short week and 5 days after suffering thier first loss of the season they clinched a 1-0 victory over Mounain Road in the final 30 seconds of play. This brings the PRIDE's Spring record to 3-1 with 4 games to go.

Soggy Spring Can't Dampen PRIDE

Mother Nature is about the only thing slowing down the PRIDE this spring. The PRIDE  chose to play up this Spring in the BBSL U11 Girls Division. The PRIDE got off to a hot start with a 3-0 win against ASA Superstars and a 6-1 victory over Crofton.  

PRIDE Dominate at EASL Open

The PRIDE captured their 3rd Tournament Championship of the Fall with a dominating performance at the EASL Open. The PRIDE went 4 and 0 and did not concede a goal the entire weekend while putting one in the opponents net 19 times. The PRIDE controlled the games from the first whistle and showed some of their best ball movement of the year.

The PHWM FC U10 Girls PRIDE took on a challenging task this fall, deciding to move to the highly regarded Philadelphia Area Girls Soccer League. PAGS is regarded as one of the premier leagues on the East Coast and the PRIDE stepped up to the challenge finishing their first season as a Finalist for their division. The PRIDE posted a 7 win 2 loss season scoring 35 goals and just giving up 4 goals for the season. The PRIDE defense also held their opponents to 6 shut outs for the season. It was a tough season but the ladies stepped up to the task and played their hearts out.

PRIDE Begins PAGS League with a bang.

The PHWM FC PRIDE took a chance this Fall with a move to the premier Philadelphia Area Girls Soccer League. The coaches were looking to expose the girls to a higher level of competetion and the players have dedicated themselves to working hard in preperation for the league. It looks like the hard work has paid off. The PRIDE has started off 2-0 the first two weeks. They faced the Radnor Black Hawks week one and had a good showing posting a 4-0 victory in their inagural PAGS game. The PRIDE followed it up with a 8-0 win over the Spirit United Barcelona Team. So far the ladies of the PRIDE have posted 12 goals for with no goals against. A very good begining to their season.

PRIDE Continues Great Start to 2010

The PHWM FC U10 A Girls "The PRIDE" coninued its great start to 2010. The Pride traveled to Downington, PA to compete in the upper level Spirit United Kick Off Classic. The Pride was up to the task and went undefeated in 4 games to lay claim to the Gold Division Championship. The Pride took on top level teams from Pensylvania and tallied up 17 goals for and only 3 goals against, again with 2 shut outs, on their road to the Championship Trophy. So far the Pride has gone 10-1 with 44 goals for and 11 goals against in the month of August.

PRIDE Starts strong for 2010!!

The PHWM FC U10 A Girls "The PRIDE" has gotten off to a strong start for the 2010 season. The Pride began the season with a strong showing at the Hickory Scrimage Fest going 3-0 in their first 3 games of 2010. A week later the Pride faced a tough task playing up in the U11 Silver  division of the Blast Off Tournament. The players showed they were up to the task finishing the tournament 3-1 with a 1-0 hard fought championship game vs Eastfield Lady Arsenal for the win and the Championship Title. So far the Pride has gone 6-1 with 27 goals for and 8 against, with 3 shut outs. So far the girls are off to a great start and hope to continue to build on the early sucess.
